 Our endodontists are dentists who have chosen to limit their practice to the dental specialty of endodontic therapy. In addition to treating routine cases they are experts in performing complicated procedures, including surgery and retreatment of unsuccessful endodontic therapy. An anaesthesiologist is also available to administer intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic if required. Dr. Ian Watson DDS. MScD FRCD(c) CAGS FICD FADI FPFA FACD
Dr. Ian Watson is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. He has been educated at the University of Western Ontario, the University of Toronto School of Dentistry and the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He is the founding partner of Limited to Endodontics and has practiced as an endodontist in Mississauga since 1981. He has performed over 25000 successful root canal treatments on patients from 7 to 103 years of age. He has special interest in treating patients who have fear or anxiety about dental treatment. Dr. Watson enjoys teaching his chosen specialty to practicing general dentists and also to future endodontists. He is a former staff member at the University of Toronto's Department of Graduate Endodontics, University of Western Ontario and Boston University. Dr. Watson is a past president of the Ontario Society of Endodontists, the Halton-Peel Dental Society, and Canadian Academy of Endodontics. He has recently been acknowledged for his contributions to dentistry by being awarded four fellowships. He has the title of Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Fellow of the American College of Dentistry. Dr. Watson successfully completed the Royal College of Dentists of Canada Endodontic Specialty Examination. He was awarded the title of Fellow Royal College of Dentists Canada (FRCD) in Calgary, August 2002. Dr. Steven J. Cohen D.D.S., Cert. Endo.Dr. Steve Cohen is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. Steve graduated with honours in the Bachelor of Sciences program of the University of Western Ontario, and received his D.D.S. from the University of Toronto in 1985. The George Hare Endodontic Study Club Award for proficiency in academics and clinical studies was presented to him at that time. He completed a residency at the Forsyth Dental Centre in Boston, Massachusetts, and went on to the Temple University in Philadelphia for the post-graduate endodontic program. He was awarded the Louis Grossman Study Club Award for overall performance in endodontics. Dr. Cohen joined Limited to Endodontics in 1988. Since 1989, he has maintained an affiliation with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, in teaching endodontics to dental and specialty students. He is also the on-staff endodontist at Sunnybrook Hospital department of dentistry. Recently he has taken up fly-fishing as a hobby, become an avid runner, and has competed in two Toronto Half Marathon races. He enjoys quality family time with his wife and son. Dr. Rony E. Dagher Bs.c, D.D.S., MSc., FRCD(c)Dr. Rony E. Dagher is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. Rony graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Toronto, Ontario, and received his D.D.S. from Case Western University in 1995, where he was awarded numerous awards in clinical dentistry. He taught at the University of Toronto Dental School for several years while practicing general dentistry in a private office setting where he gained valuable experience in operative, prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry. He completed a 3-year masters residency at the University of Toronto's post-graduate endodontic program. Dr. Dagher joined Limited to Endodontics in 2002 and currently maintains a teaching post with the Graduate Endodontics Department with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Dr. Dagher serves on the board of examiners for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada division of endodontics responsible for administering the specialty qualifications exam, and has been a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists since 2002. Dr. Dagher is proficient in the use of the operating microscope and has a special interest in the treatment of traumatic injuries, especially those impacting children. Dr. Dagher enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, and many other outdoor activities. He is also involved in many community programs raising funds and organizing events to help local children with Sick Kid's Hospital and World Vision. Dr. Gevik MalkhassianDr. Gevik Malkhassian is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy. He received his dental degree (D.D.S.) from Iran in 1990 and practiced general dentistry for 11 years before immigrating to Canada. Upon completion of a two year program at the University of Toronto for foreign-trained dentists, he continued his education at the graduate Endodontics program at University of Toronto. Dr. Gevik takes great interest in both academic and clinical studies and decided while practicing as an endodontist to keep his affiliation with the Faculty of Dentistry, University Toronto as an assistant professor. He is involved in teaching both graduate and undergraduate levels. Gevik is avid outdoor cyclist and enjoys spending time with his wife and friends. He is fluent in Armenian and Persian. Dr. Ziggy WojtasikDr. Wojtasik is a Royal College of Physicians Surgeon of Canada Certified Anaesthetist and an active staff member of the Anaesthesia Department of Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Over the past several years Dr. Wojtasik has developed particular interest in anaesthesia for ambulatory surgery. In 14 years of private practice, Dr. Wojtasik has delivered approximately 70,000 anaesthetics. In his practice, Dr. Wojtasik is using state of the art monitoring equipments and anaesthesia techniques. He is a very respected and much sought after anaesthetist working with selected dentists and surgeons in Toronto and surrounding areas. Dr. Ziggy, as he is known to patients and colleagues, would be pleased to discuss with you personally any concerns or questions regarding delivery of sedation/general anaesthesia in a private office environment.
